The best part? You don't have to decide your pathway right away. During your first two years, you'll build a strong academic foundation while exploring your interests. Students choose their pathway at the end of 10th grade, giving them time to discover their strengths and make an informed decision about their future.
Pathway Options
College Transfer Pathway

The College Transfer Pathway is designed for students who plan to continue their education at a four-year college or university after graduating from Cabarrus Tech. This pathway provides a strong academic foundation while allowing students to earn an associate degree that transfers toward a bachelor's degree.
In addition to earning a high school diploma, students will graduate with one of the following associate degrees:
- Associate in Arts (AA)
- Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP)
- Associate in Science (AS)
- Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP)
To help students stay on track for their future, each student selects a pre-major that aligns with their intended bachelor's degree. These guided pathways allow students to complete college coursework that supports their long-term academic and career goals.

Career & Technical Pathway

The Career & Technical Pathway is designed for students who want to enter the workforce after high school with the skills, experience, and credentials employers are looking for. Through this pathway, students gain hands-on training in high-demand career fields while earning a valuable college credential.
In addition to a high school diploma, students graduate with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, preparing them for entry-level careers in growing industries. These programs combine classroom instruction with real-world, career-focused learning, giving students a competitive advantage as they begin their professional journey.
Whether your goal is to launch your career immediately after graduation or continue your education later, an AAS degree provides the knowledge, technical skills, and experience to help you succeed.
