At Cabarrus Tech Early College, we believe education should open doors, inspire curiosity, and prepare students to make a difference in the world. As a small, innovative learning community, we combine the best of high school and college into one unique experience where students are challenged academically, supported personally, and encouraged to discover their passions. Whether your goal is a four-year university, a career after graduation, or simply finding a place where you belong, Cabarrus Tech is designed to help you succeed.
A Different Kind of High School
Cabarrus Tech Early College is one of three early colleges in Cabarrus County Schools and is located on the CBTC Campus of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Established in 2016, our school serves approximately 235 students in a close-knit learning environment where every student is known, supported, and challenged.
Students at Cabarrus Tech earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree, giving them a significant head start on college and their future careers. Beginning in ninth grade, students experience college coursework while benefiting from the support of dedicated high school teachers and staff who help them navigate the journey.
Our small size creates big opportunities—strong relationships with teachers, personalized support, meaningful leadership experiences, and a community where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
STEM Is Our Focus—Not Our Limit
While STEM is an important part of who we are, it doesn't define who our students become.
STEM at Cabarrus Tech is about developing critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. Those skills are valuable whether your future is in engineering, healthcare, education, business, law, the arts, public service, or countless other professions. No matter what path you choose, you'll graduate with the knowledge, confidence, and experience to take your next step.
